This whole “healthy” thing gets totally overwhelming, doesn’t it?

Another thing telling you what to eat. Another thing telling you what not to eat. Another thing telling you not to do that exercise. Another thing telling you to do that exact exercise.

I mean, come on.

Really?

You’re already inundated with enough stress throughout your day and life, and now you have to add ANOTHER job of trying to be healthy?

And then, you’re so frustrated of taking on that other job of being healthy that you just say “screw it” and throw everything out the window.

Because you don’t have the time. You don’t have the energy. You don’t have the patience.

Sound familiar, Gorgeous?

I get it.

What a wackadoodle way of living!

Do you ever find yourself saying, “This just doesn’t make any sense to live this way!”

Welp, you’re right. It doesn’t.

Like, where’s the JOY in any of that?

I’ve never understood why being healthy is touted as this hardcore mission that we have to obsess over every day.

I’m NOT saying that you should revert to your aforementioned “screw it” moment.

But, I AM saying that there needs to be some major shifts in your life.

Of finding ways to be healthy while having fun.

Of integrating a way of living that allows you to have it all.

Of implementing habits throughout the day that automate your health while still feeling joy.

Wouldn’t that be amazing?

Doesn’t that sound flipping GREAT?

Well, babe, it’s time to start wishing and start acting.

Because that CAN happen.

It CAN be that way.

That’s what I’ve learned over the past 20 years, have implemented, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

And it kills me to see you still there.

So, start thinking.

What can you do – right now – to get this healthy train moving?

To the station of JOY and NOT overwhelm.

And don’t freak out on me. Because I know you’re way smarter than you give yourself credit for.

You know the basics. You know right from wrong. For the most part, at least, right?

So put some of that knowledge to the test and get to work.

Here’s some thoughts to get your juices flowing. Could you….

  • Listen to your body for what IT needs to eat for breakfast instead of what you think you “should” be eating?
  • Park across the street not because “they” tell you you should to get more exercise, but because it’s so damn nice outside and you want to get some fresh air and listen to the birds for once?
  • Get your workout done FIRST thing in the morning so that when you need to go wipe the poopy butts of your children or deal with a nasty email you’re grounded and centered?
  • Take an extra 5 minutes in the morning to put grapes and almonds in to-go bags, along with an apple and hummus and carrots in a little cooler to carry around with you while you’re busy being a bad ass?
  • Think about your favorite recipe and make a simple swap to make it a better option? Maybe cauliflower rice instead of white rice? Almond milk instead of dairy milk?
  • Make up a better drink option while you’re out with friends so you can still enjoy time with them and have a bit of an appetizer? Vodka/soda instead of a beer, perhaps?

You get the gist, right?

And as you can probably tell, a lot of this is about MENTAL shifts as well. Not just physical.

Because you may already be doing some of these things, but how you PERCEIVE what you’re doing and what you SAY to yourself mentally is causing the issue.

Am I right?

So, get to it and start implementing what you can. Whether it’s an action, a behavior, or a mental thought.

It doesn’t have to be everything at once. We’re starting small here, babe. 🙂

Let me know in the comments what you’ll be working on, and/or report back with your results, too!
